From Theory to Practice
My journey through Teacher’s College marked the beginning of my development as an educator. Through coursework, professional reflection, and hands-on practicum experiences, I began transforming educational theory into meaningful classroom practice.
Across three school placements, I worked with diverse learners, collaborated with mentor teachers and school communities, planned and delivered curriculum-aligned instruction, and developed strategies to support student engagement, inclusion, assessment, and achievement.
Each placement offered a different opportunity to learn, reflect, adapt, and grow. Together, these experiences helped shape the educator I am today and established the foundation for my continued professional practice.

My first practicum provided an opportunity to translate educational theory into classroom practice while developing foundational skills in planning, instruction, assessment, classroom management, and relationship building.

My second practicum allowed me to build greater confidence and independence as an educator while continuing to refine differentiated instruction, student engagement, assessment practices, and responsive teaching.

Becoming the Educator
My final practicum brought together the knowledge and skills developed throughout Teacher’s College, strengthening my ability to plan purposeful learning experiences, respond to diverse student needs, and establish my own professional identity as an educator.
The Journey Continues
These placements were the beginning, not the destination. The lessons, relationships, challenges, and successes of Teacher’s College continue to inform my practice as I grow through new classrooms, professional learning, and teaching experiences.
