Care
As an educator, there is a duty to care for the wellbeing of students. It is an educator’s duty to promote learning through positive influences, empathy and understanding, and acceptance.
Respect
As an educator, there is a duty to be respectful of student’s and other members. It is important to approach students with an open mind and to respect their choices, spiritual and cultural values, confidentiality, and freedoms.
Trust
As an educator, it is important to be fair and equitable, open minded, and honest. This is inclusive of building and maintaining professional working relationships with students, colleagues, parents, guardians, and the community.
Integrity
Reliability and morality are crucial as an educator. Through personal reflection and one’s awareness of their actions, exercising integrity is achievable through professional commitments and responsibilities.
